- Tuesday 19th April, 2011
Hertz states that the new Hertz Mille line establishes itself, once again, as the absolute reference within the Hi-End car-audio market; a complete range of technologically superior products: a tweeter, a midrange, a woofer, two crossovers and four systems. With these components the new Mille range benefits from the years of technical evolution of the Elettromedia R&D department, reaching its perfection through advanced, accurate measurement techniques and instruments.
According to recent news releases from Elettromedia, the new Mille line motor assembly is centered upon a large REN® Neodymium ring; the mobile assembly featuring a CCAW voice coil wound on aluminum former for the ML280 tweeter, and on a Kapton® former for ML 700 3 inch midrange and ML 1600 61/2 inch midbass driver; Pressed-pulp V-Cone® technology combined with cotton fibers for the woofer and midrange; the tweeter featuring a Tetolon® Fiber dome with a hemispheric-hyperbolic profile. These are just some of the technical features allowing these components to reproduce sound with involving, impeccable performance.
“At CES this year our acoustical engineers were telling us that this is the biggest improvement they have made in speakers in over 14 years. Plus we now have cut manufacturing costs by almost half of what this level of speaker cost to produce 3 years ago. Quite an accomplishment actually. Improved performance at a much lower price point.” Ken Wiseman, Elettromedia.
There are four models in the Mille lineup (MLK 2 TM, MLK 2 TW, MLK 3 PA, MLK 3 PA2) however Australian pricing and availability has not been confirmed at this stage,
